Just responding to Doozle's comment in another thread which I think deserves it's own one.

Doozle asked

"Don't mean to hijack this thread but you mentioned a Box Set by Charlie, say it aint so? What else can I say but I'm thrilled but I wonder if I have all the CD's what else is there to "wet my whistle, so to speak"?"

The box set was supposed as far as I understand it, to have included all the albums in one remastered package. This was to have been released by Renaissance in the states (I was always surprised at this given the problems they had already had over payment) and to have been fully remastered by Julian, the original CD's being less than satisfactory releases (many muffled especially Lines).

Renaissance pulled out of the deal as they did not feel, following the credit crunch that they could market such a specialised set.

I suggested to Voiceprint in the UK that they may like to take up a reissue programme and they contacted Julian direct. During negotiations it was found that Terry had what was essentially a solo album to release and this was (is) the first, in what will hopefully be a fruitful partnership.

At the moment I understand that Julian is revisiting the remastering and looking at bonus cuts such as I Need Your Love and the 12" It's Inevitable cuts.

At the time it was not known if there were any live cuts to be had but from the media section of this site we now know there to be some gigs in the hands of the band and i have a contact in the States who may have (note MAY HAVE) a master of a University Gig that was recorded. If so, I understand that Voiceprint would like to include such stuff as bonus cuts. There could be contractual issues here to overcome however.

I don't think that a box set is now on the cards but individual reissues are still scheduled I believe.

Hey LA Dreamer,
thanks for the reply and to bring me up to speed on this. I do hope that you all will get all the contractual issues ironed out in the foreseeable future.

Sincerely!
Doozle.
